Hanukkah Song and Game of Dreidl

Jennifer played the song “Puppy for Hanukkah” for the Sixth Level students. It is a song for Hanukkah, a Jewish holiday, from the United States. The song was written by Daveed Diggs, an African-American Jewish actor and singer. The lyrics of the song include elements of African-American Vernacular English (AAVE). Jennifer explained the meanings of the lyrics and told the students about the AAVE dialect. Here is the video:
